My second book by Peter Allison and I have to say the best so far. When walking in Zambia it was a hilarious book to read and while I do believe some stories are quite over the top, the author is really funny and entertaining. Outside the box - a pleasure to read! Being a freelance writer I have to say he has a natural talent and for someone who has only published two books, his style of writing is pleasantly sophisticated. It turned out our guide was friends with the author which made the book even more enjoyable, but that's another story. Must-Buy for nature enthusiasts! Peter, keep your books coming...
Habe dieses Buch gleich nach Don't run gelesen, und sogar beide hintereinander weg wurde nicht langweilig, nichts wiederholt sich, obwohl die Geschichten im selben Zeitraum spielen. Kommt mir ebenfalls realistisch vor und hat Spaß gemacht.
Peter Allison is very funny! His thrilling behind-the-scenes stories take you right into the middle of a wonderful African Safari. Greatly recommended in between your own travels. I wouldn't read it in a tent in the Okavango Delta! Too scary ;)
Wunderschöne Geschichten aus dem südlichen Afrika und ein Muss für jeden, der von seiner ersten Safari träumt. Und perfekt um in Erinnerungen an vergangene Trips in Krugerpark, Chobe oder Namibia zu schwelgen. Nebenbei darf bei Allison immer auch herzhaft gelacht werden.

Honestly, Peter has a way with words, and I hope he reads my first book one day (Peter, if you read this, please e-mail me on info@gsoe(dot)ch). I have recently been to Londolozi, and, as an ex-pat (of some 29 years) South African, and, yet again, totally homesick (although no desire to return for good to the old country, due to the crime, and horrible experiences we had the last time), Peter's writings touched my very soul.
